Forschungslinie Licht_Raum
The research line ‚Light Space’ of the department of architecture at FH Dortmund (polytechnic) documents the state of research and methodology on the subject of light in public spaces in different disciplines such as planning of open spaces and traffic planning, light and lighting technology and the analysis of urban spaces, and develops these further on several levels.

Hellweg – ein Lichtweg
‚Hellweg – ein Lichtweg’ (a path of light), a modular art project of the Hellweg region in cooperation with the Zentrum für Internationale Lichtkunst e.V. Unna (centre of international light sculpture), presents a compilation of more than 30 light sculptures in public spaces.

„LichtRouten“ (light routes) the „International forum of light and design’ takes place for the fifth time in Lüdenscheidt from September 24 to October 3, 2010. Productions and interventions, installations and performances that are characterized by a reflective application of light in public spaces will be shown in the city centre

GLOW – International Forum of Light in Art and Architecture
In November 2009, the “GLOW – International Forum of Light in Art and Architecture“ took place for the fourth time in Eindhoven. Under the motto ‚Being public’, the city centre was set into scene by international artists with installations, interventions and performances using artificial light.

Lichtparcours 2010
From June 19 to September 30 this year, the ‚Lichtparcours 2010’ (course of light) will take place along the river Oker for the third time. Numerous well-known artists will transform the river into a projection screen of contemporary light art.
